Letter from the President:
If you
have made it this far then you are obviously very interested in learning
about better calibration techniques for gas detection. That was exactly
my goal prior to starting Advanced Calibration Designs (ACD). While
working in the engineering sales department of a major gas detection
company, I experienced tremendous frustration from end users trying to
find dependable calibration standards, particularly for toxic, corrosive
gases. Many times these standards were either unusable or even
nonexistent.
ACD was
founded in 1988 by a small group of like minded, dedicated individuals.
Our goal was to research, develop and manufacture dependable, accurate,
reliable and affordable gas calibration standards. In doing so, we have
become experts and leaders in the calibration industry. We continue to
improve our products and services while reducing our costs to the
customer.
ACD
manufactures hand held electrochemical gas generators that offer
tremendous advantages over our competitor's products. Our instruments
are small, light weight, durable and dependable. Because the gas is
generated electrochemically as needed, not stored until used, our
instruments do not degrade over time. Our instruments are safe to ship,
use, store and dispose of. Our instruments save the customer time and
money. Our instruments are better because you demand the best.
ACD enters
its twentieth year in business the same way as its first. Although our
instruments for chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen cyanide and
hydrogen sulfide are known world-wide, there are still many more gases
that we continue to work on. We are currently researching new methods
of generation that will create a whole new family of gases including
ammonia, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur dioxide, and
nitrogen dioxide. All of these instruments will be the best method
possible for calibrating their respective gas detection sensor.
If you are
responsible for calibrating your company’s gas detection system, you owe
it to yourself and your coworkers to use the best equipment available to
maintain the safety of your working environment. We think we offer such
equipment and we invite you to try it today. If you have any questions
on our technology, our products, our people or our company, please feel
free to contact me.
Thank you for your time and I look
forward to hearing from you.
