How do I calibrate my gas sensor for hydrogen (H2)?Hydrogen gas is a very commonly used combustible gas. Our calibrators are designed in three basic ranges, 0.5 - 50 PPM in the CAL 2000, 1 to 25 in the cal 2000 LT and CAL 101 and 5 to 500 PPM in the GENie EC instrument. The GENie EC unit is specifically targeted toward the 0 to 1000 or 0 to 2000 PPM H2 sensors that are prevalent in the semiconductor industry. These cal gas sensors are becoming very common in places where hydrogen is the carrier gas for some toxic gas being used in a process. Listed below are the different gas calibration products we offer, to allow you to choose the type of gas calibrator that suits your application best.

ACD is proud to introduce the GENie EC our newest electrochemical gas instrument for high PPM hydrogen calibration gas. This instrument has been specifically tailored to fit the high PPM range of hydrogen detectors. The GENie EC output can be adjusted down in order to accommodate the calibration of the low level leak checking instrumentation currently on the market. The GENie EC has been designed intrinsically safe and its compact design makes it our most user friendly instrument. The easy to read LCD also leads to ease of operation. The long lasting electrochemical generating sources provide the user with the equivalent of up to 100 cylinders worth of accurate calibration gas, making the GENie EC the smart choice for calibration of low to high PPM range Hydrogen gas detection equipment.

ACD Cal 101 Chlorine Calibration Gas Instrument

CAL 101 Calibration Gas Instrument

The CAL 101 gas instrument is the entry level pricing unit for users who have H2 gas and don't have a large number of sensors. The unit and source come complete and ready to calibrate your sensors for a very low price. The electrochemical generating source is interchangeable and provides multiple gas and concentration options quickly, safely and easily. The generating sources will last for two hours of calibration time or about 25 calibrations. The replacement generating sources are very economical and provide an additional two hours of use each.

ACD Minibump calibration gas bump tester

MiniBump Calibration Gas Bump Tester

These emit a small amount of H2 calibration gas for functionally bump testing a gas sensor. They are not gas calibrators. The MiniBump is certified intrinsically safe and provides 1000 bump tests. The CAL 101 Bump is designed intrinsically safe but is not CSA certified and provides 350 bump tests. Both units can be used to functionally bump test H2 gas sensors.

The CAL 2000LT uses an electrochemical generating source that is interchangeable and provides multiple gas and concentration options quickly, safely and easily. The generating sources last for either 10 or 25 hours of use. The CAL 2000LT utilizes mass flow feedback and source monitoring to provide our highest level of accuracy.

The CAL 2000 has ATEX certification and is certified as INTRINSICALLY SAFE by CSA.
